The soil
The limestone rock, red clay soils and basaltic soils of volcanic origin, the altitude that keeps fog and late frosts away, and the low annual precipitation. These are the environmental aspects that make them wines of character and personality. Lands of great red wines. One example out of all: Cabernet Franc Colli Berici was the first to receive the DOC designation in Italy.
Native grape varieties
A nature that can be found in the glass, as confirmed by the zoning study that Veneto Agricoltura carried out in collaboration with the Consorzio di Tutela Vini Doc Colli Berici, the Province of Vicenza and the Vicenza Chamber of Commerce. The result is in the publication of the Territorial Use Manual, a tool that helps understand the characteristics and identities of this territory. One name above all: Tai rosso, a native grape variety that reflects its uniqueness of the different areas devoted to its production.
